Description
The Manufacturing Manager works with Manufacturing employees, the Logistics, and the Packaging Manager to coordinate an efficient, safe Manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other Duties may be assigned.
1. Safety / Environmental a. Brings all safety / environmental / quality concerns to the attention of the Plant Manager and/or the appropriate department manager immediately.
2. Receiving / Shipping a. Follows all work instructions outlined in QWI-3 (Manufacturing) and all other applicable plant policies and procedures.
3. Reports Review a. Working in conjunction with other managers, reviews the following reports daily. i. Production Schedule ii. Backflush Reports iii. Other reports as necessary
4. Other Duties / Responsibilities a. Plans, posts, and manages daily work assignments for manufacturing employees. b. Reviews Weekly Time Cards. c. Works with Production Scheduler/Packaging Manager to determine manpower requirements in relation to daily production requirements. d. Works with Logistics Coordinator to ensure proper raw materials are staged for production as well as to coordinate manpower. e. Works with other managers, supervisors, and maintenance personnel to create and maintain a safe work environment. f. Assists with inventory control as needed / requested. g. Ensures Housekeeping expectations are kept. h. Responsible for incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Supervisory Responsibilities: The Manufacturing Manager supervises the Manufacturing Operators.

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED. Georgia Work Ready Test required.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Bills of Lading, Purchase Orders, MSDSs, manufacturing sheets, and Manufacturing sheets. Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and visitors.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret bar graphs. Ability to read and interpret scales.
